Chic TV

Chic TV is actually a very interesting idea. It takes the all too popular video network concept and reinvigorates it by applying it to woman, but mainly catering to a 20 something crowd, who while tech savvy really have no place to go for video. Most video sites generally are overpopulated with guys, and it's very easy to realize that the most popular videos tend to be ones with skantly clad women. Chic TV attempts to do things a little different by supplying various videos suited for the modern metropolitian woman - mixing a Sex and the City lifestyle with haute culture and fashion.

Videos are presented in an on-demand style with videos constantly playing in playlists. The ads at the bottom and before each video get really annoying and tiresome. Besides that, there is quite a lot to see if you're interested in makeup, fashion, food and travelling.

Chic.TV
's main downpoint is the annoying ads that appear before each video that are exactly the same and are ads for the site followed by an ad for some commercial use of their platform. The second of which doesn't appeal to just viewers and seems to be geared towards advertisers or busineses. There's no way to skip the ad, and there's no point putting it in. But if you can get over the annoyingness of the ads, you can find some great videos on the topics of fashion culture. It's nice to see a site catering to a specific demographic that isn't really being targetted right out, so Chic TV for now defintely server a purpose and place.
