Exclaim! TV
Exclaim! TV is a music video site that houses lots of music videos. But unlike MTV, what you won't find here are the usual clap trap of popular videos or anything that could even be remotely considered mainstream. Instead you'll find a strong focus on Canadian music artists, trailers for independent movies, and interviews with everyone between the two.

It's not fair to really call this site a video site, because the videos are complimentary to full Rolling Stones-esque articles on rockn'roll and pop culture. The video player is amongst the cleanest I've seen, and just plain works. Videos load fast and the content is varied, but is really only has two types of appeal - awareness of music and movies you may not have heard of, and a promotional platform for Canadian artists Those not interested in either, and I'm quite sure this applies to the vast majority, would not find a great deal to do here. Also the TV suffix is far from accurate, since the site mostly sports articles with additional videos.

Exclaim! TV
wasn't the best site I've seen, but it's certainly good for those looking for a distinctly Canadian voice on matters of pop culture. While not a great deal of non-Canadians would be interested in this, it definately is something that some may be interested in checking out - if not for another perspective on North American entertainment culture, then for the edgy articles and videos that are sure to please those with a distate for mainstream media.
