JumpCut is a Yahoo Powered video editing and remixing service that lets you upload videos, and then remix and refine them through editing. You can explore other videos and then remix those videos yourself. It requires a Yahoo account, which I'm sure you have if you have a Yahoo email account or a Flickr account.

Overall it's pretty good way to edit up yours videos when your away from any other special programs like windows movie maker or vegas or whatever you use to edit up your videos. It works great but the other videos on here aren't really all that interesting or meaningful to anyone besides those who created it. But sending a video you've uploaded to a friend or family, means they can take the footage and edit it together all within jumpcut and then remix it to emphasize things they important to them, they can even include snippets of video which will get added back in to a pool of videos that you can use to remix your video with.

It gets really exciting when you have a whole group of people who've each taken video from their perspective, and then you end up with this giant pool of photos, sounds, and videos from different angles at different moments all intertwined. You can take those and edit it, or just look at what others have edited.

Jump Cut
isn't really meant for finding tv shows or cool videos, so if you look to it to find movies and tv shows you'lll be sorely dissappointed. Instead, Jump Cut offers you video editing and group video editing - which can be really fun when all the participants bring their own personal video footage and resources so that the group has a large variety of video to experiment and play around with. If you're looking to piece together a video of a family event, a wedding, or maybe just some sort of carnival or event - then Jump Cut is definately something you should look into.
